Background
The major industrial risk may be an accidental event which occurs on a site and causes immediate or differed consequences for personnel, local populations, property and the environment.
Chronic risks are taken into account in the impact study drawn up by the operator of a classified installation. These include sanitary risks presenting health risks from exposure to small doses over a long period.
