Contaminated sites and soils - Diagnostics, audits, monitoring of natural environments
Background
The evaluation of the state of our natural environment (air, water, soils) involves an often very delicate operation. These environments are subject to variations in time and space, which need to be accounted for corectly in order to make a pertinent assessment.
Diagnostics involve implementing land investigations in order:
• Look for sources of pollution
• Evaluate an impact of these sources on the environment
• Understand the behaviour of pollutants
