Technical assistance in the demolition of the old municipal waste incinerator of Issy-lès-Moulineaux (92)
Customer name : ParisSector : Public contracting authorities
Date of realization : 2006-2010
Project description
The old Issy-lès-Moulineaux incinerator has shut down since the new municipal waste incinerator was put into service. Accordingly, the Paris city council has decided to carry out the demolition of the old facility and the cleaning up of the site. Once decontaminated, the bare land will be endowed to the SEM92, developer of the Bords de Seine industry area.
The Paris city council has commissioned ANTEA to assist with the demolition works (incinerator, highway bridge, access ramp), cleaning up (residual combustible fraction, chemical products) and asbestos removal.

Legal assistance is achieved in cooperation with a law firm specialized in environmental law.
The deconstruction works are innovative through several aspects:
• Treatment of refractory ceramic fibers.
• Inclusion in decontamination operations not only of the buildings and site soils, but also of the border of the Seine river (pumping station, access bridge, access ramp, vacuum and effluent discharge ducts).
• Use of explosives for the demolition of the 80-meter-high chimney.
• Endorsement of an environmental charter and high commitment of the client and the companies (revalorization of 95% of waste produced).
