Service duct in Reims
Customer name : ReimsSector : Public contracting authorities
Date of realization : 2004-2008
Project description
In 1993, following the government decision to build the East link joining the A4 motorway with the RN 51 main road, the district of Reims (now known as the Communauté d’Agglo de Reims), Contracting Authority for the project, commissioned SAEM Reims Développement (now AGENCIA), delegated Contracting Authority, with the town planning analyses for farmland east of the city of Reims each side of the dual carriageway. It is therefore within the context of the construction operation of the local government planning area (ZAC) of Croix Blandin (urban development plan for the east of Reims) that the service duct project was launched (drainage work section of this urbanization project).
ANTEA was design and realization project manager for the Reims service duct (downstream section).
The function of this duct is to collect and transfer waste water and rainwater from the ZAC of la Croix Blandin to existing networks of the suburbs of Reims. The preliminary analyses and pre-project summary (carried out by Ingérop) looked at the possibility of running the waste water and rainwater networks on the surface with lifting stations and seepage basins, a design thrown out by the District de Reims who opted for the realization of a deep duct, in particular in order to preserve gravitational flow and prevent drains being opened on large linears.
Characteristics of the ANTEA mission:
Design phase:
- Geotechnical summary of the route,
- Modelling geotechnical constructions,
